Privacy policy
How Valued IT collects, uses and protects information. Last updated October 13, 2026.
This policy explains what information Valued IT (“Valued IT”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit valued-it.com, contact us, or receive services from us, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email info@valued-it.com and we will answer plainly.
We do not sell or share your information
Valued IT does not sell, rent or share consumer personal information, including phone numbers, with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or lead generation purposes. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or lead generation. Information is shared only with the service providers that help us run our business, as described below, and only so they can provide those services to us.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to answer enquiries and deliver services:
- Contact details you give us — your name, business name, email address, phone number, and anything else you type into a form, a chat, or a booking request, such as how many locations you run.
- Communications — emails, text messages, chat transcripts, call notes and support requests between you and us.
- Website usage data — pages visited, time on page, referring website, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type.
- Client service data — where we provide managed IT services under an agreement, our tools hold technical information about the devices, accounts and networks we manage for that client, along with the business contact details of its staff.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry, schedule a call and prepare a quote.
- To provide, support and improve the services you have engaged us for.
- To send service and account messages, including appointment confirmations and support updates.
- To send occasional business updates to people who asked to hear from us, which you can stop at any time.
- To keep our own systems secure, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal effects, and we do not build advertising profiles for other companies.
Text messages (SMS)
We may send text messages to people who have given us their mobile number and agreed to be contacted that way, for example by ticking a consent box on a form, giving us the number during a call, or being an active client who asked us to text them about support.
- What we send — appointment reminders, support and service updates, replies to questions you have sent us, and occasional account notices.
- Frequency — message frequency varies and depends on your interaction with us.
- Cost — message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Opting out — reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or contact us on (773) 938-4444 or info@valued-it.com.
- Consent is never shared — your mobile number and your SMS consent are not sold, rented or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or lead generation purposes. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that run parts of our business for us, and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. They are not permitted to use it for their own marketing. These include:
- HubSpot — our customer records, website forms and live chat.
- Microsoft — email, file storage and the booking calendar.
- Google — email and file storage where used, and website analytics.
- Zoom — our business phone and text messaging service.
- Syncro — the service desk and device management platform used for clients under agreement.
- Hostinger — hosting for this website.
- Meta — website advertising measurement, as described under Cookies below.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or to a buyer as part of a sale or merger of our business. In that last case we would give notice on this page.
Cookies and website tracking
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to see how the site is used and to measure our advertising. Those currently in use are HubSpot (visitor tracking and chat), Google Analytics (traffic measurement) and the Meta Pixel (advertising measurement and retargeting). You can refuse non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them does not stop you using the site.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become clients are kept for up to two years, so we can pick up the conversation if you come back. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and for seven years afterwards, to meet tax and contractual obligations. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Security
We protect information with multi-factor authentication on our accounts, managed endpoint protection on our devices, encryption in transit, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we will tell affected people promptly if a breach ever puts their information at risk.
Your choices and rights
- Ask what information we hold about you, and ask for a copy.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, or of text messages by replying STOP.
Email info@valued-it.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the website.
